Mary is the Avian Program Curator for a small raptor center in Lorain County, Ohio, a part of Lorain County Metro Parks. This raptor center mainly houses wild hatched birds that have sustained permanent injuries that prevent them from being released. She has been at this facility since 2007, continually working to improve animal welfare and care through education and cultural shifts. 

This is primarialy an eudcational facility, and Mary is always looking for new and innovative education opportunities for volunteers who assist at the Raptor Center, park visitors, and school groups. She has a MPS in Environmental Education from SUNY-ESF that helps her achieve these goals.
